Guided dive to the shipwreck C-53 Felipe Xicoténcatl

The C-53 is at a maximum depth of 25 meters (82 feet) and regularly the current oscillates among zero and three knots.

Prior to dive, the diver must have made at least two dives with me to evaluate if he has the necessary skills to perform a dive of this category.

Divers AOWD or similar, may surround the shipwreck and across it in specific areas. Only those who are certified as Wreck Divers or similar can penetrate it.

If you do not have Wreck Diver certification or similar, you can take the course with me.

Guided diving in Swimmthroughs

The reefs of Cozumel are known throughout the world because despite the changes in temperatures throughout the planet, they continue to be in good shape and have not been bleached.

In addition, the currents and nutrients that are filtered from the cenotes of the island, have formed in its robust structure an intricate system of caverns, passages, canyons, corridors and ledges that has no equal in the world. Many of them are between 12 and 25 meters deep, and it is even possible to connect them.

Some are easy to visit and others require a higher level of experience in the field of buoyancy and trimm.

I can guide you in all of them.

Guided dive to

The Devil´s Throat

The Devil´s Throat is a cavern located in the Punta Sur sector.

The entrances to the cavern are located at about 20 meters deep and their exits at 42 meters and has approximate 30 meters long

At certain points of the cavern, there is no natural light and it has restrictions (narrow corridors)

It can only be visited using a mixture of 21% oxygen (regular air), so the No Decompression Limit will reach close to 3 minutes when leaving the cavern.

For these reasons, divers who wish to visit it, must present their Deep Diver certification, certify at least 60 dives in their logbooks, have a primary lamp and have demonstrated in previous dives an adequate buoyancy control and trimm.

Marine Life Diving Tours

The reefs of Cozumel are in good shape, reason why they lodge a great variety of flora and fauna: They are colorful, they are full of corals of all type, sponges, actinias, and fans.

Animal life is not left behind, because we can observe fish of different types. colors and sizes, nurse sharks, sometimes also reef sharks, turtles, crustaceans, molluscs, fire worms, different types of moray eels, rays and, with patience, we can even find nudibranchs and mantis shrimps.

The largest number of marine species can be observed in corals that lie in waters of intermediate depth (between 10 and 15 meters/50ft), that are usually flat areas surrounded by large areas of sand and grass. The level of complexity of this type of diving is low.

However, because the shallow areas are exposed areas, the diver must be aware of the current conditions because it is very easy to separate from the group due to it.
